After reading the section about Dialect i decided to complete a short dialogue between two people. This elaborated into a little more than that and it became a little experiment to see if you can figure out who the guy and the girl was in this conversation/interview. In this section, Pullman begins to ask the question “What is Love”, which when i decided to ask 2 people that same question. During my interviews I decided to analyze the responses I received and decided to see if anyone can figure out who the male and female were in this dialogue. Females are seen to be the most emotional and loving sex, but is that true in this situation. So here we go!

Conversation 1

Shanell: What is Love?

Person 1: Something that is very difficult to understand things are also unexpected when it comes to love.

Shanell: What does love mean to you?

Person 1: Love is something unconditional and being there for a person through thick or thin.

Shanell: How do you show love?

Person 1: Actions is a way of showing love. Being attentive and supportive is a great way to show that emotion.

Conversation 2

Shanell: What is Love?

Person 2: Wanting someone to be unconditionally happy and being supportive, wanting to spend time with them and get to know the real them.

Shanell: What does love mean to you?

Person 2: Having someone in your corner to rely on when you’re in need. Feeling that unconditional support and will never judge you.

Shanell: How do you show love?

Person 2: I like to show support and being in there though the twist and turns of life. Giving someone the same respect and love they show to you.

So have you guys figured it out yet? Do you know which one of the participants is the male/female?
