Thick Description of RAP Image: Iesha Evans

Description of the Background

At first glance, the setting of the photo takes place in the street around buildings (one can assume are office buildings), in the far right corner are a group of individuals by-standing underneath a large tree. To the left of the group of individuals is a tall tan building that raises vertically out of frame of the picture. Near the front of the building are more individuals dispersed around the area who are also by-standing. In the far left corner of the photo is a blockage of police officers, the line of officers venture out of frame from the left corner of the picture. There’s tens of officers standing and each officer is wearing a helmet and heavy protective gear which includes protective boots, shin gear, chest gear, and arm guards.

Description of Focused Subject  

There are three subjects in the main focal points of this photo that includes two police officers and Iesha Evans. Iesha Evans is standing with her hands directly in front of her pelvic area in a almost-crossed like position. She’s holding her phone in her left hand and something which is uncertain in the other hand. Her hair is straightened, she has prescription glasses on her face, two ear piercings, a watch on the right of her wrist and seems to be wearing what seems to be a black and white high slit sundress with flat black and white flats. Her stance is firm and her facial expression is stern and unwavering. Her legs are shown up until her lower thigh from the flow of her dress. However, the disposition of the officers differ. They seem to be rushing towards Iesha in a urgent manner. They are also equipped with all black protective boots, shin gear, chest gear, arm guards, book bags, protective helmet and a belt with a gun on the right side of their hip. The first officer in the frame arms are free and in a position that looks like he is in a transition of reaching for someone. The secondary officer on the opposite side of him has zip ties on his belt and is a bit closer to Iesha than the first officer. The secondary officer also has his hands out as if he’s reaching to grab Iesha. Both officers faces are shielded from their protective head gear.
