The speaker, Amy Cuddy, immediately got the audience to participate by encouraging everyone to evaluate their current posture. She appropriately arranged her statistics after the participation aspect in order to get everyone to pay attention to the data. She also applied visuals of well recognized politicians in a humorous situations related to body language. Cuddy also intentionally makes the gestures she is explaining to heighten the visual engagement of her argument. She makes an important rhetorical move by establishing that everyone has struggled with their own body language at some point in time. Cuddy also establishes ethos by naming other researchers and professors that support her thesis. One of the rhetorical moves that she makes applies her personal experiences to support her argument. Although they are not facts, they are still convincing and accepted by the audience.
