Extra Credit

For my extra credit assignemt, I decided to use the time when I went to the Lantern Festival held in Atlanta. The Lantern festival is held every year in the fall and is the coming together of many people as they create lanterns in the image that the person making it wants to use. I saw lanterns that looked like Spongebob, lanterns that looked like Pokeballs, and even a lantern that went around mooning people. The creative aspect of the festival was amazing. There were so many lanterns that I didn’t even think would be possible to make yet the festival goers put their time, money, and energy into the festival which made it great. The nature of the lantern festival was visually rhetorical because it relied mainly on the sense of sight to convey the ideas of the lanterns. I definitely will be going again next year.
