If I decided to not wash a dish; I could hold a 5 minute discussion of why I decided to do it. Unfortunately my parents didn&#8217;t believe in justifying my actions because they viewed it as EXCUSES. That is one opinion on justification. If you have a reason for why you did something and people disagree, it is viewed as excuses, explanations, and trying to rationalize you behavior. People tend to believe justification more when it comes from someone else.
